Ethics and Systems Design To Enable A Human-Computer Interaction
Digital technologies involving human interactions with machines and well-integrated socio-technical systems are some of the latest topics you will see emerging from the IT sector. For instance, scientists have noted a high ratio of papers in the ACM Digital Library with the searched keyword as “human values” that went up from 20 to a straight 113 in the time frame from 2000 to 2010. This has kindled a hope that the progress of technology is not something to be feared in the coming years when it comes to preserving human values.
However, it is still a new approach to be followed in the field of Human-Computer Interaction and relies mainly on usability, perception, accessibility, and highly relevant participation.
System designs and ethics are equally important in developing a well-integrated framework for AI and deep learning when it comes to Human-Computer Interaction. The complex socio-technological framework is intertwined well, and cannot be separated from the discourse of complex dynamics pertaining to system designs and ethics that come to HCI.
